Status of memorial photo from the article Comment[edit]

As an illustration of a scene from the district, I had used a photo of a monument to the war dead, in the town of Bulshevo. I've since deleted the photo from the article, because the status of photos of monuments in Russia has apparently been evolving. (See, for instance, ru:Шаблон:FoP-Russia) The photo itself is CC-BY; the problem is the ownership of the underlying artwork of the memorial itself. I will send a copyright request letter to the district administrator (my best guess as to who would be the 'owner' of the memorial). Every-leaf-that-trembles (talk) 23:32, 16 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
