Comment[edit]

This group is notable as the poineers of posting a fully searchable list of people's names who signed anti-gay petitions, and several credible sources have been cited. Please note that the youtube.com citings are of actual news footage so they are considered credible sources. KnowThyNeighbor.org has been featured in the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Fox25 News, Bay Windows, The Advocate just to name a few of the news agencies that have covered their actions throughout the years, and they have recently outed Walmart CEO Mike Duke as having signed an anti-gay petition in Arkansas.Salemmaman (talk) 02:44, 2 June 2009 (UTC)salemmaman[reply]

In that case, the first thing to do would be to document the appearances in the "Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Fox25 News, Bay Windows, The Advocate" and the other "news agencies that have covered their actions throughout the years". Right now, all we have is your assertions as to what this is all about; Wikipedia articles have to be based on reliable sources in a verifiable way. You may also want to look at our notability policy (since I note your assertion above as to the nature of this group's notability and doubt that it's covered under our notability policies). If there's something I can do to help, leave me a note; I suggest you work quickly since a "hangon" tag will not protect this article indefinitely. Bay Windows, Fox 25 News, and The Advocate WERE cited in the article. Perhaps you didn't read it? The links are there for you to follow... mehSalemmaman (talk) 17:32, 4 June 2009 (UTC)salemmaman[reply]
Per CSD A7, the criterion

does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source.

Your demand that sources be supplied to prevent speedy deletion is therefore grossly contrary to policy. I believe that a sufficient assertion of notability is made here to preclude speedy deletion; issues this complex or ambiguous should be discussed at AFD. Expansion and cleanup[edit]

Have tentatively created a section "Activities" after the lead para.

Have created a "Controversy" section (which could include mention of signature fraud, too, to balance it up) and added referenced reports in notable publications to controversial aspects of the campaign, so that the article is not merely self-serving.

There's also a need to cleanup citation / reference style and adopt a clear format (eg using cite web or cite news) pointing to the precise articles in question; rather than bare references that just show up in the reflist as [1]-> [2]-> and [3]->; etc.

Have left the three bulleted external links at the bottom of references, but it might be better to use inline citations (re-using the inline citations to Bostan Globe, Seattle Times and abc40 if they're relevant elsewhere), and delete these bulleted links? Cheers, Esowteric (talk) 11:53, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Have converted three bare refs ("[1]->", etc) to cite web and created sections "Notes" and "References" (editors may prefer to keep or to ditch the refs. section). Esowteric (talk) 12:14, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
