Notability / Sourcing

[edit]

Hi to whoever reads this! I decided to be WP:BOLD and remove the notability tag as I'm confident there are "enough in-depth, independent sources have been published about the subject to overcome any notability issues" (namely those from El Nuevo Diario and La Prensa, two of the nation's largest newspapers). The brand has historic significance to the Nicaraguan diaspora and the country's economic history/resilience post-'72 quake and with a little more elbow grease/teamwork I feel like the article can be fleshed out. Please feel free to ping me if you disagree with my decision, I'm happy to discuss further. Tajaditas(talk) 05:04, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think I'm also supposed to share here links to better sources, since I indicated they're available. La Prensa alone has several regarding international availability/exports (1)(2)(3) and the brand's history (4) but they're paywalled. Working on obtaining access.
Here's a confidencial article with a passing mention of the Kola as a comfort food for diaspora Nicas in Costa Rica (5) that by itself isn't great, but there might be more like it with more substantial brand mentions. This book (6) has a mention I can't see the context of. Haven't found any reliable English language sources yet, but I'm on the hunt. Tajaditas(talk) 05:21, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
