Vanilla?

The only references I can find to Vanilla Koogle anywhere on the web ultimately resolve back to this wikipedia entry. I have a pretty clear recollection of the other three flavors listed (and can track down pictures of each of the jars), but never heard of vanilla. I suspect this is apocryphal -- does anyone have evidence that vanilla Koogle ever existed? --AdamRoach 00:18, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I have no evidence at all, only fond memories. --Keeves 01:11, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm not entirely certain what you're saying here. Are you sure it existed, or should we remove it from the article pending further evidence? For example: search Google for "cinnamon koogle", "chocolate koogle", and "banana koogle", and you can find images for each of these things. Searches for "vanilla koogle" have yet to turn up any such evidence, and I'm a bit hesitant to rely on 30-year-old memories in the face of such strong hints that such a thing probably never existed... So, specifically: do you think the "vanilla" reference should stay or go? --AdamRoach 15:17, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm willing to accept the results of your research over my memories, and I am now deleting references to Vanilla. Thanks. --Keeves 14:34, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Ho-Ho! Not so fast. I'm dead certain that I have a vanilla Koogle lid (mayhap a jar) lurking in my dungeon (I keep stamps in it). Let me have a look - don't give up on Vanilla just yet ! erm.. and forgive me for butting in and posting in this fashion - I know not what I do. Tobor the great ! 21:16, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for posting this information. People (most younger than me) thought I was crazy when I described this product, they did not believe it existed and was a figment of my own imagination. Even my parents did not remember purchasing it for us kids, they instead remember the later product 'Goober' (sp?) which I believe they describe as the striped peanut butter and jelly in a jar (oh the horror). My younger sibilings loved this. Anyway thanks and HEY KRAFT...BRING BACK THE KOOGLE!!! I know how you feel. No one remembers it when I describe it either. I also thought there was vanilla. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.184.26.121 (talk) 09:54, August 26, 2007 (UTC)

I seriously doubt there ever was a vanilla, unless it was outside of North America. I heard Australia had Koogle. Seegodkai (talk) 22:28, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Of course there was a vanilla! I remember it was my favorite flavor. And if you want proof of its existence, then look closely at the Koogle ad featured in this article. The jar stacked on the upper right side is labeled vanilla. :) - colorexplosion, child of the 70's —Preceding unsigned comment added by Colorexplosion (talkcontribs) 02:43, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

More evidence for Vanilla can be found in the Koogle ad posted on YouTube. It's the one being spread in the video and mentioned by the actress. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPSnDwBDhsQ Adeian (talk) 06:07, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

As long as we're on the personal recollection thing -- arguably worse than OR -- does anyone besides me remember that when you initially took the plastic lid off, the paper seal underneath had googly eyes and said, "Here's looking at Yougle!"? Moioci (talk) 21:16, 2 October 2009 (UTC)

Picture-heavy

That's a lot of pictures in the article, and the main body is only two or so sentences. More text and less pictures might be more suitable for an encyclopedia. --Kräuter-Oliven (talk) 09:26, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Australia

Not only did Australia have Koogle, I believe we had it first: http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/44800543?searchTerm=koogle&searchLimits=sortby=dateDesc It is a peanut spread, not 'butter' per se. I have amended the section accordingly. We'd never heard of Nutella in the 1970s. --johnr_roberts (talk) 09:27, 7 July 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.28.226.162 (talk)
