In year 1944, Kosi Kalan was declared as Notified Area and Shri Gayalal Agrawal was nominated as 1st Chairman. His 2nd son Shri Babulal Agrawal was elected as chairman on 26th December 1964. Shri Babulal Agrawal served the board for 7 years until 2nd Jul 1971. On 20th Jul 1973, his younger brother Jagadish Prasad Agrawal was elected as chairman and he served until 4th May 1976 and again he was elected on 14th Sep 1976. Again for the 3rd time, he got a chance to manage the municipal board on 26th Nov 1988 and did so for 5 years. After a long time, this time, the 3rd generation of the Shri Gayalal family, Mrs. Vandana Agrawal was elected as chair person on 6th Nov 2006. During her swearing-in ceremony, on 18th Nov 2006, Shri Babulal Agrawal while addressing the public suffered a cardiac arrest and expired. He was of 82 years (Date of Birth: 23 May 1924). Shri Babulal Agrawal was connected with multiple social organizations like Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Ramlila Sansthan, Srikrishna Gaushala etc. His funeral was attended by thousands of people. Shri Babulal Agrawal was a true social worker and did lot of good work for Kosi Kalan during his chairmanship. He did manage the whole city with incredible leadership by taking even his opponents with him. Shri Gayalal Agrawal's family, generations after generations, has been involved with various charitable works by virtue of running various schools, temples and charitable trusts etc. Shri Gayalal Agrawal's family, in his memory, constructed a marvelous charitable trust in Kosi Kalan, which is named as "Gayalal Smriti Bhavan". This is a marvelous piece of art constructed in Marble. This is a multi story building spread in acres. It has multiple gardens, large open grounds, large halls and many rooms. This was inaugurated by Honorable Vice President of India, Sri B.D. Jatti. Shri Babulal Agrawal took active participation in developing M.B. Inter College and M.B.
