Kousali Institute of Management Studies (KIMS) is one the oldest B-School of Karnataka. It was started in the year 1976 under Karnatak University. KIMS is located in the beautiful Karnatak University blossomed into one of the best ten institutions in management in the country during that period. Presently, the MBA programme is rated to be the best amongst all the universities in Karnataka. KIMS has got a strong alumni network who have occupied positions in many top–notch companies both within the country and abroad. KIMS has developed a special niche for itself in the field of imparting quality management education. The students of KIMS are trained to a perfect blend of current industry knowledge and skills of modern management.

Our mission is to prepare young managers with commitment to profession and loyalty towards the organization they work for, and train them to play the role of genuine change agent with a strong sense of business ethics

History[edit]

Since the 1970's Hubballi-Dharwad region was famous for business, and one of the prolific business leader from Dharwad had donated an undisclosed amount to establish the management institute in that region. He was Mr. Tammappa Kousali. Hence the name Kousali Institute of Management Studies. KIMS with its inception is a B-School with a difference. It was established in 1976 and in the span of 33 years it nurtured and carved the careers of over 2000 students. KIMS has got a strong backbone of its alumni network who have developed a special niche for itself in the field of imparting quality management education. The students of KIMS are grilled to skills of modern management in their specific areas of specialization.
