Stavropol - can't be![edit]

The sentence "The campaign then continued along the coast of the Black Sea towards Stavropol, which was taken on November 15,1918." must be wrong: Stavropol is a largish city to the north-east of Krasnodar, away from the Black Sea! It is also known as the birthplace of Gorbachyov. There is at least one other Stavropol, but it's a long way from the Kuban!
