3rd person? 1st person?

[edit]

The two paragraphs discussing the difference between 1 and 2 directly contradict each other over which camera angles were available in which game.--210.174.42.34 (talk) 07:41, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nightbeast making POV articles replacing NPOV ones

[edit]

You keep doing the same to another user over at America's Army, please stop taking over articles and trying to twist them into your own personal views and politics. Thanks. If you want to bring politics into an article about a computer game, write an unbiased, NPOV one... Something you seem incapable of doing. --86.132.35.147 16:46, 10 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

The current article is possibly a complete copyright violation and at any rate pure advertisement, thanks to 86.132.35.147, who insists on this new version rather than the old. The opening paragraph of his comes from this site (on the bottom of the page). The rest of the version he fights for comes from this page.NightBeAsT 13:34, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It's Fair Use, retard. If you ever actually read an online game review you would find often many are the same or very similar because they use the game's official website as a source. Perfectly legal. --86.132.35.147 09:44, 10 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Prove its fair use. Also, stop deleting {copyrightexamination} and watch your mouth.NightBeAsT 13:16, 10 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
This is a blatant copyvio. The only way you can use it is if the authors allow it to be used under the GFDL. Besides, that's nowhere near NPOV, it's an advertisement. I'll be fixing it shortly. --Phroziac (talk) 03:03, September 11, 2005 (UTC)

Dispute over versions

[edit]

'NightBeAsT' Please stop replacing the NPOV article that simply explains about the game and how it's play with your own POV one.

If you want to make political commentary, write a longer, NPOV article that takes both sides into account, is unbiased and also explains what the game is also about and how it is played. Look at the America's Army article for an example. --86.132.35.147 22:26, 8 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Monsieur anon, you've copied advertisement from the homepage of the developers and replaced everything of a far older, therefore original, article. You're accusing me of personal views? Where? You're the one who all he does is add advertisement - point of view manipulation. Wikipedia is not a place to spread advertisement. How can you say you know my point of view? I didn't even state it. All that is written in the original article is based on "Dehumilizing playgrounds" or the other link, not plagiated but based on them, just as the America's Army article doesn't come up with advertisement straight from the developers either but is based on a lot of sources. Your advertisement from the developers is also highly likely to be a copyright violation and will be removed unless you can post a permission from them. If you want to talk to me, do it via the talk page of the relevant article from now on because I'll delete all your rants here since except for 'personal attacks' I alone have the full permission of my user page, just as you've the full permission of yours. Compared to Kuma War, America's Army is nothing. Kuma War is the perfect example of war propaganda. I'll speak to you tomorrow or maybe I'll just show it to administrators. And call my teacher, if you dare to. But you got the wrong name anyway, I'm afraid.NightBeAsT 23:08, 8 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
First version: [1]
No, I did not copy the words of the developers. And even if some of it's the same as on their web page I hardly think they would mind.--86.132.35.147 00:18, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
This is a lie. Your "first version" is from 1. Sep 2005, as your link undoubtedly states - mine is from 00:26, 28. Mär 2005, which you deleted and replaced with a redirect. Your "content" is only advertisement taken from www.kumar.war and posted as new article.NightBeAsT 13:12, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
You are the one replacing the older article with your political rubbish, not me.--86.132.35.147 00:18, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
When the Department of Defense created the game for players, they never cared about players but the propagation of political views, simple propaganda.NightBeAsT 13:12, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I have not made any "manipulation", you seem to be [personal attack]. All the article as it as at the moment is a description of the game and how it's played, it's modes of play etc without taking any political considerations into account, certainly not any "manipulation". That's much more what your edits seem to be, trying to convince people that it's all an evil plot to subvert people's minds.--86.132.35.147 00:18, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Wait a minute. It were YOU who posted the advertisement (=plot to subvert people's minds) of the developers, not me. If you disagree with the writers of the links, tell them.NightBeAsT 13:12, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
You'll delete all my 'rants'? I made two comments on your talk page criticising your constant highly-political very anti-war POV biased edits, that is all. I definitely did not make any 'personal attacks', as anyone who reads the version stored in the history before you blanked that last section of your talk page can see. --86.132.35.147 23:57, 8 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Slander someone else and do it on your talk page.NightBeAsT 13:12, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Oh god, have to love this quote from Anti-Polonism talk..
"why don't they spare German students all those nasty details about the Third Reich, of course, including Poland.NightBeAsT 22:56, 25 August 2005 (UTC)"
I don't suppose you're a holocaust-denier as well? *rolls eyes*--86.132.35.147 00:18, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
You're intentionally ripping my comment out of the context and misread, that's what I wrote:
""Yes we can add to the article that history about Bismarck's campaigns of germanisations and persecutions of Poles aren't mentioned in German schools.Thank you for pointing that out.--Molobo 22:01, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
Sure and on doing so we delete it for original research and lack of verifiability. Is it too hard to understand that any country focuses on history relevant to their country? Do you guys in Poland learn about the history of China? No? Aren't you anti-Chinese then? No, because the history of China has actually only little effect on your country's history. And that Germans gloss over important parts about Polish history is ridiculous: why don't they spare German students all those nasty details about the Third Reich, of course, including Poland.NightBeAsT 22:56, 25 August 2005 (UTC)"NightBeAsT 13:12, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Good quote: "Those who fail to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them." by George Santayana. We must study the past in order to live in the future. --86.132.35.147 00:18, 9 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

John Kerry

[edit]

Didn't they release two versions, 1 positive and 1 reflecting what the swift boat dudes alleged? The article makes it sound as if they only showed a postive depiction. 69.218.246.84 23:31, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The History Channel

[edit]

According to the developer's website, at least one title in the franchise (Kuma War WWII\Vietnam) was made with participation from the History channel. This should be mentioned in the article. SharkD (talk) 00:22, 13 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bin Laden

[edit]

According to the Digital Journal, there will be a mission with Bin Laden in the next episode. This could be in the common interest... http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/306493 77.21.157.212 (talk) 15:50, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Shown on Homeland

[edit]

Not sure how notable or worthy of mention it is, but the game was depicted on-screen on the most recent episode of Homeland (S02E11, "The Motherfucker with a Turban"). --V2Blast (talk) 08:33, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
