I'm not entirely sure that this is an independent administrative entity, rather than just one part of Sinpo city. The Dusan entry treats it as part of Sinpo; that's the only source I can find that deals with the region in any but a glancing way. -- Visviva 14:57, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Have now cited NKChosun, which has a fairly authoritative timeline of North Korean reorganizations of local government. I wish I could use that source to say that the chigu consists of 7 ri and one workers' district, but it's possible that additional small-scale reorganizations have taken place. -- Visviva 15:23, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
