Is this article really appropriate for Wikipedia? Earldelawarr (talk) 18:43, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes.--Michig (talk) 18:44, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, although not everyones cup of tea the band has charted, is still active, and has quite a large following.----Catten666 (talk) 11:12, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Shall we remove all the articles talking about [gasp] sex as well? Suttonpubcrawl (talk) 09:31, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Kool and the Gang

[edit]

re: 17:09, 27 December 2020‎ Unknown Temptation message "were people really confused and thought that the group behind such mainstream hits as "Celebrate" were called Kunt and the Gang?"

Seeing as Unknown Temptation has taken out the 'might get confused with Kool and the Gang' link, maybe the article should mention The K's as some media outlets credited the song "Boris Johnson" to an act called The K's not realising there is already a band called The K's.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.154.170.74 (talk) 17:59, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Andrew Liles

[edit]

The BBC named Kunt as Andrew Liles. There is an existing Wikipedia entry for an Andrew Liles who is also a British musician, but whose year of birth is listed as 1969. This article lists Kunt's year of birth as 1973. Are they by any chance related? I think we should be told. Andrew Oakley (talk) 04:28, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

His name is Wayne Clements. If you downloaded the track and check the metadata you can see that he's listed as the composer. Technohead1980 (talk) 07:07, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
He also released an album under the band name MACONDO in 2003. I would include it in the article but I'm not certain there's enough reliable sources to do so. https://www.electricityclub.co.uk/lost-albums-macondo-up-here-for-thinking-down-there-for-dancing/ Chessrat (talk, contributions) 02:08, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What does posting his real name achieve?

[edit]

kunt has always tried to keep his private life and real name private, he's never intentionally revelled it so what does it actually add to the article? The article is about the musical act Kunt, not the man behind the hair so why is it needed? If people really want to know what it is there can find out through songwriting credits but why spoil the magic? 2A02:C7C:3017:1C00:5812:6CEC:DED2:B007 (talk) 20:00, 19 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@2A02:C7C:3017:1C00:5812:6CEC:DED2:B007 because it's publicly available and therefore can be disclosed.... 86.165.196.89 (talk) 21:38, 1 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@2A02:C7C:3017:1C00:5812:6CEC:DED2:B007 his name is easy enough to find if you look for it and can be found under the song writing credits.
Obviously, due to the nature of his act, he probably wants to keep his real name under wraps, but if you're going to be that controversial and strive for publicity then you can't expect to remain anonymous at the same time. 2A00:23EE:19A8:4C04:B94:ADD9:F775:CAD5 (talk) 19:29, 8 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Where in the cited video does it reveal his real name anyway? 82.24.32.47 (talk) 08:00, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sources for other musical work?

[edit]

In the History section, it lists that Kunt/Wayne worked on the Boogaloo Stu album and the Mister Midi album(s), but are there any sources for this? Can't seem to find anything linking those to him, not even any credits to Wayne Clements for those albums 80.7.142.88 (talk) 22:48, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
