Alpha Phi Alpha[edit]

There are a few miscellaneous sources that mistakenly list Kurt Schmoke as a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. However, Kurt Schmoke has never been initiated into the fraternity. Moreover, the confusion appears to stem from the fact that in the mid-1990's, an attempt was made to initiate him into the Fraternity, via the Delta Lambda Chapter. However, due to various reasons, the then Mayor did not submit an application for membership. --Mills (talk) 03:29, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
