Notability

[edit]

The only claims to notability on the article page are (1) the assertion that the disc was "best selling," a claim bolstered by a link to a page on embryoroom.com that purports to be a copy of an Amazon.com sales ranking for the DVD > Pop & Dance > Dance category, showing this disc at #1. The page is undated. Currently, the disc is ranked #124,797 in the Amazon Movies & TV category.

And (2) claims of praise from film festivals. The links provided as citations seem to point mostly to catalog pages for minor film festivals, displaying text that may have been submitted by the film maker himself. The best conclusion that I can draw from this was that the disc was displayed at some minor film festivals, a fact that does not make it notable.

It barely shows up in Google at all, except for links to the wikipedia page. Seems to totally fail notability tests for both music and movies.Uucp (talk) 04:02, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree that it was "shown at minor festivals." Sonar is a high profile and noteworthy festival. As is Buenos Aires International Film Festival, the Milan Film Festival, The National Museum of Finland, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, the Kunsthalle Wein in Austria. This should meet the criterion, since it was shown at significant museums and festivals in multiple countries. Perhaps bestselling should not be cited, but as of today, the film is number 11 in electronic music in France. This isn't mentioned in the entry; but Del Marquis of the Scissor Sisters also collaborated on this project. Mrbusta (talk) 13:13, 1 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
