Contradiction

Can somebody explain to me how"137.5 International Ski Federation points" is enough to cross the "140 point qualifying mark"? Circeus (talk) 03:18, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe lower scores are better. ISD (talk) 07:15, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It turned out to be a range of scores, not a single limit, which was counterintuitively described. I had adjusted the article, but forgotten to fix the talk. Circeus (talk) 16:14, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Name significance

[edit]

Should the original Kwame Nkrumah not be mentioned somewhere here? He's obviously named after the first prime minister of Ghana. 206.163.233.33 (talk) 03:00, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have a source(s) for this? ISD (talk) 07:52, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Common sense would indicate some connection, be it as tenuous as simple admiration for the prime minister. But common sense isn't what Wikipedia is all about, is it? 209.180.40.12 (talk) 23:57, 24 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
But you can't just assume that, any more than you could assume that Cathy Gordon Brown the independent candidate in the 2000 US presidential elections was named for Gordon Brown the British Prime Minister. Yes, it is more likely than my example, but proof is needed.MidlandLinda (talk) 13:06, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
