NPOV

Despite being the person that originally wrote much of the content, it has come to my attention that I may have falled into an NPOV issue. Whilst researching this and my Kenshiro Abbe article I have come across sources that dispute the link between George Mayo and Kyushindo. I am continuing to research this and have also invited some other martial artists to be come involved to try to resolve the issue. The article fails in a number of ways, largely in the emphasis it gives to so-called "Kyushindo Judo". Abbe was indeed the person who brought the concept of Kyushindo to Britain, but he had nothing to do with the "Kyushindo International Judo Association". That, and the definition of kyushindo in this article, was an invention of George Mayo.

Mayo was a French national who developed his own martial art in Scotland in the late 1940s, which incorporated Judo and yoga. It stripped Judo down to a non-competitive form, and he called his art "Jujudo". Mayo attended one of Kenshiro Abbe's courses and became interested in Abbe's concept of Kyushindo, ultimately naming his art "Kyushindo Judo". Abbe had no other influence on the Kyushindo organisation and he had no other dealings with Mayo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.234.127.20 (talk) 10:37, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Hello fellow Wikipedians - Can you revert my change for external links ? I was trying to remove the fake kyushindo link (under Kyushindo martial art association, you go to online gambling website - the domain has changed ownership) and add a link to old students of Kenshiro Abbe sensei raising their voices about people hijacking his legacy.
