Update Article[edit]

This is quite dated; if someone could contribute to the current relations between the two countries? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kostja (talkcontribs) 19:15, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Update and neutral language[edit]

I plan to give this page some much-needed attention, but as I'm a new user I also wanted to ask about some of the language. Especially this part: "Despite concerted efforts to seek international "sponsors," Akayev has not received much more than a great deal of international good will. Even if the president had not lived seventeen years in Russia himself and even if his advisers, family, and friends were not all Soviet-era intellectuals with a high degree of familiarity with Russia, economic necessity probably would push Kyrgyzstan further toward Russia." Seems very weird and not at all neutral, encyclopedia-type language. Further, the page needs to be updated anyway so I feel like this whole section could be deleted. If anyone has any other thoughts, I'd appreciate hearing them! Thanks Walnut56 (talk) 15:54, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
