I moved this from the article page. While it might be of interest to some, it isn't appropriate for an article on LC5.
There is a good freeware alternative to L0phtcrack called LCP. [1]

- I concur; there is also the box at the bottom of the page listing a number of different programs with this sort of purpose. That seems like a more appropriate place for mentions of other things. ("don't need to mention other software unless we can explain it better through comparison") 125.236.211.165 (talk) 13:30, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Credit where credit is due
[edit]The text of the article makes it seems as though l0phtcrack was developed by Mudge alone, when that is not the case - and this is even referenced in the side note. There were also, if I recall correctly, contributors from outside of l0pht. If no one can defend the current wording, I will be changing it to remove Mudge and replace it with "l0pht, with contributions from others". Bobkeyes (talk) 03:49, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Outdated
[edit]It's now after the date mentioned at the bottom of the page, and lo and behold, the article's prediction was correct. Now what do we do? 125.236.211.165 (talk) 13:28, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
