problem with mp3 playing.[edit]

I'm having problems getting my phone to play mp3's. It recognized an MP3 album I put on it and played the album from start to finish for a couple of weeks, but I tried to put another CD converted into MP3 on it, and it wouldn't recognize the new files. I then re-initialized the database as per the help screen on the phone, and I lost my old album too. Now I can't get it to play anything. Please help! (I have version 3 phone software, do I need to upgrade?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.186.36.123 (talk) 21:41, 12 February 2008 (UTC) www.lgvx8300.org[reply]

Glitch to keep flash photo light on?[edit]

In the article it says you can keep the flash light on if you open the phone while taking a picture with it closed. How are you supposed to take a picture with the phone closed?? This seems like it would be really useful as a flashlight when you're walking in the dark. Ahlfi006 (talk) 05:35, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You can take a picture when the phone is closed by holding down the camera button to activate the camera and then pressing it again to snap the photo. When the flash comes on, open the camera and it will stay on. Not sure the glitch is really noteworthy enough to be in the article, but there's your answer. I for one am very glad that it's in the article, as I normally use just the LCD screen as a small flashlight, but it's not very powerful. The flash is on par with a small Maglight (AA batteries), plus it illuminates a wide area. I think it should be included in the article as "How to use your VX8300 as a flashlight."Ahlfi006 (talk) 01:33, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that it's very useful, but Wikipedia is not a how-to guide. There are other sites for that. Kafziel Complaint Department 02:24, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, but it is a way for people to find information- would there be an appropriate way to state that this is possible and provide a link to the how-to? Ahlfi006 (talk) 05:18, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Not really. If Wired Magazine said something about it, maybe. But it's just something somebody found somewhere along the way, which is original research. Just be happy you know about it now, and let everyone else suffer in ignorance. Kafziel Complaint Department 05:57, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A2DP[edit]

This phone DOES NOT support A2DP. At least as far as Verizon can tell. I had tech support stumped for a good 15 minutes trying to figure it out. They could not make it work. They finally checked LG's Datasheet and didn't find mention of it anywhere. It seems to be confusing because different sources say different things about it. This misinformation should be removed!
