This page appears to heavily plagiarize from an article on astronautix.com. While the entire page is not in violation, the section from the beginning of the article to "Korolev's N1-L3 plan" was taken verbatim from this page: http://www.astronautix.com/craft/lk.htm. I'm not knowledgeable enough to rewrite this article, however, so any help would be much appreciated.

I did find some similarities; the LK_Lander#Design section looks to be verbatim. There is a possibility that this was copied and inserted directly from Mark Wade's Encyclopedia Astronautica. So I notified the editor that placed it, asking politely, and removed the section from our article here until we can verify this. Better to be safe. E_dog95' Hi ' 19:28, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possible Nationalistic Discriminatory Bias[edit]

The statement "giving the deathblow to the Soviet Moon program" is clearly not true and provocative in nature. The N1 disaster and the resultant change of policy ended the Soviet Moon program. Even this wikipage states that (making this page contradictory in nature). I suspect someone with a biased viewpoint has edited the page in the past due to their own personal discriminatory attitude. Speaking of bias, there is the disingenuous bit about the supposed greater safety margin of the LK's ascent stage compared to the Lunar Module. While the LEM was without a backup, one wasn't really needed as the Lunar Module's ascent engine was a relatively simple design utilizing hypergolic propellants. As such, a malfunction, though it would have been catastrophic, would have also been nearly impossible.--172.190.176.51 (talk) 03:40, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Errors in colored illustration[edit]

There are a few errors in the illustration, which I have cross-checked with the book "Planetary Landers and Entry Probes" by Ball et. al. (2007).

5. should be TV-high gain antenna 6. should be "nesting rocket". I am not entirely sure what this is supposed to be, but surely this is not the "landing engine".
