Deletion of "Ethic" troubles

[edit]

While I don't necessarily disagree with the fact that there are racial tensions in the city, I very much disagree with the text that I deleted from this article. It was without citation, and rather poorly written. I lived in Lagrange in the 1990's, and I can indeed remember the Klan roaming about downtown (it was scary), but until it can be better documented, or written in a more appropriate manner, it just makes the article look poorly written. That is the ONLY reason I deleted that text. I welcome a revision of the content I deleted, because I agree that it should be included. 96.240.247.250 (talk) 04:49, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I undid my revisions, because I looked again at the article as a whole, and the whole thing is without citation or source. Someone needs to take this on as a project, because the whole thing just looks really, really bad. I can't just delete the stuff about racism on the basis of it not citing to legit sources, especially when there are no citations for most things on the page (e.g., high school sports). Wikipedia is one of the first things to come up on google when one searches for the term. Lagrange deserves better than the current wikipedia page.96.240.247.250 (talk) 05:06, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Have toned down some of the marketing language and made more neutral. Added content and cites related to 1940 lynching.Parkwells (talk) 18:17, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
