Comments by Tbhotch[edit]

Overall
  • 2 dead links, and some risky links.
  • To avoid links to go dead, I recommend you to archive them though external archive websites, like WebCite.
Lead
  • "Dejame Volver Contigo" -> has a typo
Background
  • "Although banda has dominated most of Rivera's studio albums" -> this is almost the same writing as AllMusic's review, quote it or reword it.
  • "she stated she wanted to grow as an artist and the people that listen to banda will listen to mariachi if they find a good album that they feel is worth buying" -> I find this line too weird. You go from past, to present, to future, to a possibility, to present, to an assumption. If possible use short quotes and choose a time tense.
  • This section must grow. It is too small, and some sources already here can improve its size. Also, albums should include in their background why the album exist, and what has happened since, in this case, Jenni.
Recording and covers
  • "The album was..." --> "La Gran Señora was..."
  • "The follow-up album La Gran Señora en Vivo was..." this doesn't belong here, but to promotion.
  • As Universal Music Latin Entertainment is related to her, a better source is needed. These primary sources tend to be partial "es sin duda la líder femenina", "ganadora de innumerables reconocimientos", etc.
  • The problem with Sources 8 to 16 is that they don't say these songs are theirs. I know they are because they are covers, but you need a source saying they are covers.
  • "Canto Amo Sueno" -> "Canto Amo Sueño".
  • Where it was recorded is needed
Promotion
  • "The tour proved to be a success" -> unsourced.
  • The section needs to be expanded.
Commercial response
  • "It was certified double platinum and gold by AMPROFON for shipping 150,000 copies in the country." is unsourced.
  • "two on the Billboard Top Latin Albums and number" -> "two on the Billboard Top Latin Albums, and number".
  • You should mention the album did charted, at 171, on the Hot 200 in 2009.
Singles
  • "Déjame Volver Contigo" was released as the third single from the album ... "Amarga Navidad" was the third single released from the album".
  • "Jose Serrano and filmed in Los Angeles, California" -> The source never mentions LA.
Critical response
  • "Necesito de Tí" -> "Necesito de Ti"
Credits and personnel
  • Is missing
Sources
  • All "Allmusic"s have to be changed to "Allmusic" (or "AllMusic"); its name is not italicized
    • The same with Univision/Univision.com, Redacción Starmedia, Prisa Musica, Uforia, Televisa, Universal Music Latin Entertainment, The Grammys, and Wapa TV
  • "Prisa Musica" -> "Prisa Música"
  • "Siglo de Torreon" -> "Siglo de Torreón"
  • Allmusic.com -> Allmusic or AllMusic only
  • "Billboard. Nielsen SoundScan." and "Billboard (Prometheus Global Media) -> use only Prometheus Global Media
  • Source 39: includes the link Billboard (magazine). It should be removed and used in the first usage only
  • Source 41: Billboard -> Billboard
  • Source 42: needs an author
  • Source 43: is overlinked
Media

As the author hasn't edited since September, and there is a lot of work to be done, I am hestitating to close as not promoted. But, instead, I will leave the nomination open for a few weeks in case someone in the WP:WikiProject Latin music wants to check it and work on it. Nomination on hold. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 00:15, 5 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I likely start working on it as much as I can at the end of this week. Erick (talk) 02:38, 6 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I will start working on this tonight. Erick (talk) 17:01, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There is a problem with un-italizing "Allmusic" since in the sources the website's name is always italized, at least according to the edit function. Do we still need to un-italize them? Caballero//Historiador 15:42, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The reason they don't un-italize is because they are in the |work= parameter, which automatically do it. Move Allmusic to the |publisher=, and separate them with a period ("|publisher=AllMusic. Rovi Corporation"). © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 22:10, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Tbhotch: Apologies for the lack of progress yesterday, I had a really bad case of allergies, I resume working tonight. Erick (talk) 18:29, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry. Hope you're fine. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 22:10, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks and sorry for the lack of response again. I will work on this Saturday as I have a class tonight and tomorrow will have very bad weather. If I don't make any progress by Saturday night, then just go ahead and fail the article. It's been an odd week for me to say the least. Erick (talk) 18:35, 14 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

With much regret, I am withdrawing from the GAR. I have been much busier than usual because of college, I am not that familiar with Jenni Rivera (I only have her final studio album), and there's a possibly of bad weather severing the power lines here in Florida. Thank you Tbhotch for taking the time to review this article, I might fix the issues much later on whenever I get the chance. If Caballero1967, if you wish to take over, that's fine and it's also okay if you don't. Take care everyone, Erick (talk) 05:39, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Erik, as I explained in your Talk Page, I don't think you should withdraw. I can't lead this project since I am out of my waters here, but I can lend you support. It is better, I think, to request more time, build a team, and continue at a slower pace. When we are pinched with stress, we often forget we are not alone. Caballero/Historiador 12:40, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I will keep open the nomination until February 1, after that I will return to college and I will be occasionally inactive. What can be done is that you 2 or 3 team up and fulfill the requeriments needed (in your case Caballero, you can consult MOS:ALBUM), and when you all think it is ready, nominate it here again (or at FA if you considere it). © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 01:03, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Broken links and sources: Noticed that some links in the sources are broken. I looked for a replacement to source #42, the 2012 "Los más vendidos" (Top 100) and could not find it. The following link, however, gives the same information, but I am not sure if it could replace the current one: http://archivo.eluniversal.com.mx/espectaculos/119656.html I am hesitant to intervene with these sources since they are already numbered here, but I will continue working with the other sources and showing my findings here. Caballero//Historiador 17:02, 11 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry about the numbering, considering there are missing sections and short sections, numbering will eventually change. Just keep in mind the sources I was referring to. For the source itself, it says LGS is Gold, so it is outdated. Unfortunately AMPROFON sources are always updated weekly and they don't archive them (only for certifications throught their website). You can use [2] this for example, but unfortunately http://mexicancharts.com/ also has stopped working to know the charts. © Tbhotch (en-2.5). 22:10, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

On sources[edit]

As we work with the sources, I thought to place here links that may prove useful. Let me know what you think, please.
