pfff, you americans have no idea to what happened in france from 1940 to 1944. your view is based on US/UK biaised and German propaganda. you don't have a mere english article about the french resistance battles called maquis, in the Vercors and the Glières. nothing about the vichy france milice and SS and LVF fighting the russians in the eastern front, and the allies in africa. you don't have a clue and developed a myth. sorry to ruin that myth. the german are even worse, they don't have an article for Leclerc's famous division nor the famous Battle of Bir Hakeim...
