Reference to asturian language
[edit]Orhere, why did you remove the reference to the Asturian language and the names "Pola" and "La Pola"? I think they are rather important, I live in Pola de Siero and "Pola" or "La Pola" is often how people refer to the place. Unless you can tell me a good reason for removing them I'm inclined to put them back Chickeninapram (talk) 11:07, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
Undersucker, I have reinstated the reference to Asturian in addition to yours to Bable. In my experience people here more often refer to Asturianu, which, I think we could agree translates as Asturian, than they do to Bable - well both are used. But also the information contained on the Asturian page is much more complete than is that on the Bable page.
It would, perhaps, be more useful if folks could state, on this discussion page, their reasons for making these changes instead of changing things without saying why, maybe you have excellent reasons but if you don't say what they are I won't know and will continue to abide by my own judgement in these matters.Chickeninapram (talk) 09:26, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Change name to official name
[edit]I see no reason to mantain the unofficial name of the town in Spanish. Also, most people from the town call in "La Pola", not just "Pola" (I'm from here). Also may I mention that the name "in Spanish" isn't even in Spanish since translated to Spanish it would be "Puebla" not "Pola" Fueyo221 (talk) 19:56, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
