What to call the page?[edit]

ok. the play is known in the western world as la ronde. rightly or wrongly the french has a dramatic sensibility. its a play not an essay and deserves our imagination and flair not literal translation. otherwise if written in english language should it be called round dance? as for the syphillis ref, well its there love, lets put it out there!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.179.132 (talk) 21:46, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can we discuss whether this page is correctly titled? Schnitzler wrote a play called Reigen. This page is headed La Ronde. On the main Schnitzler page the play is listed as Hands Around (which as far as I know is a translation completely unknown in Europe). Coherence, if nothing else, suggests a change or two. Ideas? This is a ignorant stub[edit]

I feel bad about being stinky without doing a proper editing. But this English page is a catastrophy and I am no native speaker and also dont have wikipedia experience so I am not able to edit it good.

But nevertheless I have some things to say:

What is "La Ronde is the title usually given to Arthur Schnitzler's 1897 play Reigen." supposed to mean??? "La Ronde" is the title of Max Ophüls 1950s cinema version, so why is the French title "usually given to Arthur Schnitzler's piece "Reigen"? I don't get it.

"The play caused a scandal because one of its principal themes was the transmission of syphilis in all layers of Viennese society." Did he even read the play? Why is this odd reading off the text supposed to be "one of its principal themes"???

And then all this references to movies makes the body of the article ... what about the play itself?? This is one of the worst articles I have read in a long time, please make it better! Look at the German version for a start.. its a way better article. And sorry again that I cannot do it (dew to reasons above). Mtoumba 18:41, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
