Lakehurst or Manchester Township

[edit]

Lakehurst is frequently cited as the site of the Hindenburg disaster because that is where it happened: Lakehurst NAS. The importance of Manchester Township is imprecise and trivial. The last sentence should be reworded.

Date conflict

[edit]

Paragraph 2 of the article: "Lakehurst was incorporated as a borough by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on April 7, 1921, from portions of Manchester Township, based on the results of a referendum held on May 24, 1921.[7]"

According to this, the referendum supporting the legislative act creating Lakehurst was held some seven weeks after the act was promulgated.

It would thus seem that at least one of the dates is wrong, unless the Legislature acted on the advice of a psychic.

Orphaned references in Lakehurst, New Jersey

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Lakehurst, New Jersey's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "CensusArea":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 18:46, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
