Light and color[edit]

The light and color aren't very good in the main photograph. Does anyone have a picture taken on a sunnier day that could be used? Michael Hardy 20:19, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, I removed the two huge (>200px) memorials of dead women, Image:Lakewood 0.jpg, Image:Lakewood 2.jpg. If you need them later, the captions were "McMullen Monument by Nellie Walker" and "Fridley Monument to Mary Fridley Price who was murdered by her husband". RIP. I believe a balanced view of memorials would work out in the future. -SusanLesch (talk) 11:51, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a better photo of the chapel. -McGhiever (talk) 16:51, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

sculpture in the cemetery[edit]

So what is the proper place for images of sculpture in the cemetery? Should an image only be used to augment what is in the text or can they stand alone as just another way to present information about the grounds? Or something else? Carptrash (talk) 13:44, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Carptrash and Appraiser. Here is the help file for images. You asked about 'upright' on my talk page and someone else mentioned 'gallery'. If that doesn't help, maybe the Village Pump would help you out, or WikiProject Minnesota. Also, I think there is a rule against photography of sculpture in the United States. IANAL (I am not a lawyer). But you know what? I bet Lakewood Cemetery would answer their phone and know what kinds of photography are permitted there. I myself have a few other articles in my queue and don't plan to return to this one anytime soon. Hope this helps. -SusanLesch (talk) 22:03, 25 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see someone put back one picture,. I would be happier if it was a blue editor rather than a red one, but any port in a storm. I did downsize the shot because it seems the thing to do. Carptrash (talk) 14:31, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If the sculpture is newer than 1923, its image is probably copyrighted. Older ones are OK, I think.--Appraiser (talk) 15:07, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The "McMullen" monument? Who's McMullen? The statue certainly looks old enough to be < 1923, but it's hard to say since there's nothing about this McMullen character. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 15:18, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Aha, it's in the Nellie Walker article. 1919. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 15:20, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tiny Tim[edit]

Tiny Tim (Herbert Butros Khaury) is buried at Lakewood Cemetery. He should be added. (source: wiki article on Tiny Tim) 2601:601:D480:2AF0:69FA:8137:9798:6CD4 (talk) 20:24, 22 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
