Different forms[edit]

There seems to be various forms of Lakhon chatri being performed in Thailand. The costumes can vary from group and to story (like the dress for the kinnari doesn't have a Pha Sabai Nang in some performances). Sometimes the male character wears a headdress similar to the soet (เทริด) worn by Nora performers (less spiky and black lining instead of red), sometimes they don't, especially in the "shrine groups"; instead they wear a regular male chada. One thing they mostly have in common and seems to be the basis of this genre is the "rai chatree" (ร่ายชาตรี) verses, the style of dancing and the use of "krab" instruments constantly. However, lot of the other elements of the performances, even some dance styles used, overlap with other genres of Thai dance drama. I won't insert these points into the article because they are unsourced but want to leave this information here in case anyone wants to research more into this genre. --Dara (talk) 20:19, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
