Cleaning up

[edit]

I have tried to clean up a bit this article. There are still many issues and I'm pretty sure that many paragraphs were copypasted from Doke.--Lugskneel (talk) 22:53, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

1585 – 1889.

[edit]

Seems like quite a range. Suspect a typo. Unable to verify either way so far, so just noting the question. Elinruby (talk) 01:11, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Problematic language and sources

[edit]

"Lamba is ‘the act of humbling oneself’. Lambas are generally very humble people in nature.[2]" Source given: "Doke, Clement M (1931). The Lambas of Northern Rhodesia: a study of their customs and beliefs." It would be best to ask any Lamba people about the veracity of this claim, considering it comes from a colonial authority 34 years before independence. And talks about the Lamba's 'nature'. Biological determinism was a big thing among the colonial elites. 2001:1C00:1E31:5F00:95C:5E77:6CB8:5E27 (talk) 19:26, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
