Yellow star example[edit]

I've only seen Lambda Velorum once, but it really looked yellow to me. The most vivid shade of yellow of any star I've ever seen. Is this worth mentioning in the article? After all, red stars have a real following, so why not highlight an outstanding example of a yellow star? LightSpeed (talk) 00:53, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's curious because K-type stars are usually described as orange. Were there any contrasting stars in the view? That can sometimes have an effect on the perceived hue. Regards, RJH (talk) 18:26, 17 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
