Lambert I + III[edit]

I removed the following passage, which is chronologically nonsensical. It refers to the deeds of Lambert's grandfather, Lambert I. Paul B (talk) 09:56, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lambert participated in an expedition undertaken by Louis the Pious in 818 against the Bretons, who had proclaimed Morvan Lez-Breizh their king. In 822, a new Breton chief Wiomarc'h rebelled, but submitted in May 825 at Aachen. On his return to Brittany, Lambert had him assassinated.

Lambert III never existed?[edit]

So while looking at the Widonid Family, I started comparing the English articles with those in French Wikipedia, and I noticed that French Wikipedia has no mention of any "Lambert III". The French articles are way better sourced, and the Foundation for Medieval Genealogy only lists two Lamberts, not three as English Wikipedia does. English Wikipedia also seems to have some children of Lambert I included as being children of Lambert II, which also adds to the confusion. This, added to the fact that this page for Lambert III has no sources whatsoever, suggests to me that Lambert III never existed. Entrerriano2022 (talk) 03:18, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
