Lambri/Lamuri[edit]

The title should be Lambri kingdom shouldn't it? It is the more common name in books if you search Google Books ( 2,370 [1] for Lambri kingdom vs 458 for Lamuri kingdom - [2]). Hzh (talk) 12:35, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In Indonesia its common accepted name is Lamuri. Gunkarta  talk  13:05, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
In English language Wikepedia it is recommended that the common name in English be used - WP:COMMONNAME, and Lambri appears to be the more common one in English. Hzh (talk) 14:27, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Another question, it states that it was known in Chinese a Lamuri, but the Chinese sources I read used Lanwuli, Nanwuli or Nanboli. I know this is what the source says, but reading the source, it in fact does not give any instance of 12th and 13th century Chinese documents that used Lamuri. Lamuri perhaps comes from Javanese sources? Hzh (talk) 14:38, 13 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I will change the name to Lambri Kingdom if there isn't any further objection. This is the usual name I see in many English sources, and per WP:COMMONNAME, should be the one to use. Hzh (talk) 12:52, 7 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Given that there has been no objection in six months, I moved this page to Lambri (kingdom is unnecessary as most sources don't use it). If anyone objects to the move, please discuss first before moving it back. Hzh (talk) 22:06, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
