Clarification needed (section Industry and trade)[edit]

The village used to have a small shop for everyday items, however this shut after campaigned against by villagers.

This reads ambiguously, I suspect there is a word or words missing. Was the shop closed after villager's campaigned against its presence or activities (rather against the tide of resisting closure of shops) or had its closure when proposed been campaigned against (the more likely scenario these days)?

Also, regarding Joan's Farm eggs, it would be more interesting if the Joan who died a few years before her business closed was named more fully. Perhaps someone local might know. (I don't live in Leicestershire/Rutland.)Cloptonson (talk) 06:46, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
