Problem in Background and Experiments section

[edit]

Article states: "The experiments began at very low pressures (~100 bar) in order to more easily measure the change in quantities of free gas and also to avoid condensation." 100 bar is pretty high pressure (it's 98 atmospheres). This source of this experiment is also not cited, nor does it add to the article. I recommend removing the pressure of 100 bar. 131.243.223.198 (talk) 23:14, 30 March 2016 (UTC)David[reply]

Problems in Modifications / Temkin adsorpion isotherm

[edit]

I think there are two issues regarding the development of the Temkin adsorpion isotherm: 1)In the development of the Temkin isotherm, the gas constant R is suddenly replaced by Boltzmann's constant without clear reason. 2)There should not be "(1-α)" in the exponentional but only "α". The "(1-α)" term is actually not appearing in the final result. I would like someone else to support that, as I am not 100% sure.

Too many k

[edit]

There are large K, kad and kd, and kB. Can we not use another letter?--MaoGo (talk) 12:25, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Kinetic derivation seems unnecessarily complicated...

At equilibrium,

where θ is the fraction of sites occupied.

This gives
