The current article's content is just blatantly plagiarized from Ethnologue. Also, I think that the article has no apparent urgency to be a standalone article, instead of merged into something like List of languages of Indonesia. The article may be rescued but perhaps by repurposing it as Languages of Borneo and make it cover all languages of Borneo regardless of country and language subfamily (and not just as a list, but a more comprehensive article). Hi Masjawad99! Apparently, Daryona is not active anymore (one edit in 2019). The article is indeed a giant verbatim from Ethnologue and would have to be started from scratch. I agree with expanding the scope to the whole island of Borneo. Btw, Languages of Borneo already exists as redirect for Greater North Borneo languages (from earlier "Bornean languages" by double redirect bot fix). I suggest we create an embryonic article in the sandbox first, and then overwrite the redirect in Languages of Borneo with the newly created content; after that, we'll collapse this article to a redirect to the new article. Pinging Uanfala for advice: is this a legitimate procedure? I have already checked: this article and the redirect "Languages of Borneo" are near-orphans, so a cleanup of links will be an easy task. –Austronesier (talk) 15:40, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Masjawad99: I have started with an area that I am more familiar with, Languages of Sulawesi, maybe you can have a look at it. It is still Start-class, but could serve as a model for Languages of Borneo.
