Not sure about the end of this article, seems to be taken verbatim from a manual/journal article? Also, do people really need a step by step "how to" guide on the insertion of the LMA? I am tempted to delete much of the end of the article and will do so if nobody objects. Mmoneypenny 18:32, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. John24601 19:17, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Have removed the excess material and arranged the rest of the info into subheadings (am a baby wikipedian so apologies if it now looks worse than before!)Mmoneypenny 17:37, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Mmoneypenny and John24601! I have added quite a lot of information about the technique of placing a laryngeal airway mask. I wonder what you think about the level of detail I have included. I have tried to summarise as much as I can, as the source was quite detailed. Thanks! Bibeyjj (talk) 21:48, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Needs more information

[edit]

Why is there no information on advantages/disadvantages compared to bag-mask ventilation, Guedel, and ETT? For example, the ETT and Guedel articles have information on insertion, indications and uses, comparisons with other forms of airway management, common variations in use, etc. Whereas this article currently sounds like the plot of a movie "inspired by a true story"! Hi Nonagonal Spider! I have not included information on uses, contraindications (particularly comparing to tracheal intubation) and complications. What do you think? Thanks! Bibeyjj (talk) 21:48, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
