This article mentions 'Mary Widdowson' as a character, but I think in the novel her name was Sue, it may have differed in the TV episode - sorry I haven't a copy of the book to check this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.72.204.250 (talk) 12:13, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why more references, reg. the plot ?

[edit]

The description of the plot fits the episode very well, how would it be possible to get more references concerning the plot, then using the episode it self ? I've got all 33 episodes taped on DVD (without commercial breaks) and have recently re-watched the episode just for this reason. I don't know anything about the books by Colin Dexter, but the plot seems to be described as "up to standard". (It's always a question of how much that should be revealed to the reader that might want to watch the film or episode - but this isn't the TV-guide of the Sun) 83.249.32.29 (talk) 03:58, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Plot reference

[edit]

The plot describes the book accurately enough (I've just read the book). But the reference given for it is the TV episode. But the TV episode is significantly different to the book, and whoever described the book plot here could not possibly have done so from watching the TV episode! I have therefore removed the reference. Neatsfoot (talk) 22:20, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
