So why are they here? I'd really like to see an Admin determination about this. TristaBella (talk) 22:49, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Still absolutely no citation on episodes

[edit]

"I am right, wait and see" is not good enough. These require citation from valid third party sources. Trista (Triste Tierra - cannot log in at work) 24.176.191.234 (talk) 19:52, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cabot as Recurring?

[edit]

How is Cabot a recurring character when she appears in the main cast? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.251.202.93 (talk) 04:12, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Detail on "Perverted" symbol

[edit]

You'd need an article on the episode to place this, but I think the tattoo on the biker taken in for having a class D license is 殺, which CJEDictionary lists as "kill, slaughter, murder; hurt; to pare off, reduce, clip" Wnt (talk) 04:16, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

McCoy in this Season

[edit]

McCoy should happen a guest appearance in Season 11. But not now?--91.64.217.215 (talk) 19:43, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ratings should stay shouldn't they?

[edit]

I haven't edited the ratings onto the episode list but I think they should stay as long as a credible refrence is there next to it. Ex. "9.21[1]" 9.21 being the ratings for that episode and the 1 being the refrence number. It's kinda a minor thing to take away and put back don't you think? --SVU4671 (talk) 18:19, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the ratings weren't removed. I added them into the episode list, and an editor moved them down into their own table below the list. I moved them back into the episode list. :-) —Mike Allen 22:28, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

About this edit. There are free images available for these actors. There's no need to use non-free images to show them in character, when their character psychically looks the same as them in real life. I have used free images on the season 12 page. —Mike Allen 08:29, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

These pictures are of the characters "in flesh". I don't see why everyone is so uptight about these images :| -- MelbourneStar☆ (talk to me) 08:30, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia the free encyclopedia. How can it be free where there is copyrighted images plastered all over the place? Fair use is acceptable -- when it's valid. The free images portray them as what they look like on the show, minus a different hairstyle and clothes. No other valid reason. I think Hammersoft has explained this to you before? —Mike Allen 08:35, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Seriously, what's going to happen? WP be sued over images? And also for Sonya Paxton's case, I want to keep her (in character) because she was one of SVU's only EADA's (Liz Donelly was an EADA before Judge, though did not work for the SVU precint)...She was in 7 episodes (longer than any other EADA's working for the SVU precint), I do think she still should have her image here. If not there, :( , where else can I put it on WP? -- MelbourneStar☆ (talk to me) 08:48, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This is seriously really bugging me, no offence, it's really discouraging me to participate in the WP community. In the morning (today) I "retired" (added templ. on my user pg) because of this issue. I obviously got back to my senses and came back, but still :/ -- MelbourneStar☆ (talk to me) 08:54, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • There isn't a question of being sued or not (though the Wikimedia Foundation is often contacted regarding copyright violations, take down notices, etc). I think you should read the explanation behind our non-free policy. The issue at hand is complex. At the core of it, is that we are a free encyclopedia (not free as in gratis, but as in libre). Every time we add non-free content, we encroach on our mission. We have to have a strong reason to include the non-free content. Simply because a character appeared in seven episodes isn't a reason that we can support here. I'm sorry this bugs you, and I wish there was an easy way to convey these concepts, policies, and guidelines. Unfortunately, there isn't and the learning curve for what underlies these issues is steep. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:01, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
