Changing article titles[edit]

I'm too new to editing to do this, but changing this article name to U.S. Law Libraries (rather than simply Law Library or American Law Libraries) isn't a bad thing, is it? To make it more than US-based would need input from law librarians around the world, which is not out of the question and I can do some outreach, but are there other or preferred Wikipedia options to consider before changing an article name?

I've probably kept the US bias in the opening paragraphs. I would need help from foreign law librarians in order to change that. I could then move specific US law libraries info to the United States section. I'm also a work in progress. Onward! Onepersononevote (talk) 18:23, 14 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions and tips welcome. I added details to first paragraph. Also, and I can post this question to Tearoom, do I also need to enter an Edit Summary on this Talk page? Seems redundant, but I have much to learn. Thanks! Onward Onepersononevote (talk) 18:09, 14 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

very biased towards america - this isn't a bad thing, just more stuff needs to be added. somebody from another country should write about their countries. Saccerzd 19:50, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also very biased toward academic law libraries -- ignores the wide variety of other types of law library such as law firm and court libraries.--Sweet byrd (talk) 00:09, 26 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've recently done a bit of expanding on the Special library article and added a sub section which could be expanded to discuss law libraries in general. If that subsection were to be expanded, it could link to this article which could be re-named "American Law Libraries" to reflect it's geographical bias. Just a thought. Either way, if someone could help expanding the "Law Libraries" sub section under Special library it would be much appreciated. Murasaki.suki (talk) 14:49, 25 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've just added a link to the Palm Beach County Law Library. At the Lee County Law Library, which I currently work for, we do not have a website. I hope that in the near future the Board of Trustees will see the importance of having a website and keeping up with the ever changing, fast paced world we live in. Is the plan to add a link to every law library in the world or only a selection of them? -Thibbs (talk) 01:55, 4 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Its totally biased towards the US infact...[edit]

...I mean this is the English wikipedia; US law is based on English Common Law and the only reference to that is at the bottom (below the "see also" header as well!!) and the first sentence includes a statement about the most comprehensive ones being in countries like Britain but even in this sentence, in this pathetic bit at the bottom, under the "See Also" header, in a section titled "Foreign Libararies" which is tiny compared the the one for the US, there is still a reference in parentheses to US law libraries. Lol, unbelievable. Never saw such a skewed page on this site since I started editing back in 2005. I suggest some work needs to be done here...ΤΕΡΡΑΣΙΔΙΩΣ(Ταλκ) 00:36, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
