[edit]"Both US and Japanese copies of the surrender are on display on the USS Missouri, berthed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii." I visited the Edo-Tokyo Museum in May and saw the Japanese instrument of surrender, with the mistake by Cosgrave. I would have taken a picture, but they weren't allowed and I didn't know how to ask for special permission in Japanese. :) There is a picture, apparently from the USS Missouri at Commons:Image:Japanese instrument of surrender photo.jpg; it looks like what I saw in Tokyo, but I'm not sure if that's the same one I saw or a different one. - The ones on the Missouri are copies. The original one signed for the allies is in the US National Archives. I don't know about the original Japanese one, but it is probably in a similar Japanese archive. The one seen in the Edo-Tokyo Museum is also a copy. 82.39.49.182 (talk) 13:45, 9 November 2018 (UTC)
