Armchair[edit]

How can he be an "armchair" paleontologist is he's an anatomy professor with his own lab? Abyssal (talk) 18:29, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Apparently the original entry read "teacup paleontologist." It's supposed to mean a paleontologist that does not work in the field, but I'll be damned if I'd ever heard of it before. Armchair wasn't any better since it implied he was an amateur. I don't even think we need to distinguish field paleontologists from lab paleontologists. Jura (talk) 00:25, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
