Chicasa

[edit]

Question: It says Lawrenceburg used to be known as "Chicasa" (Chickasaw), then that the USA purchased Lawrenceburg from the Cherokee Indians. Is this incorrect? Wasn't it Chicasa/Chicasaw ... ?

Apparently Chicasa was there in 1540, the Cherokee expanded into the area after that. Til Eulenspiegel /talk/ 23:29, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Lawrenceburg is the largest city on the Tennessee State lane between Memphis and Chattanooga." Should this be the Tennessee state line? If so, is Lawrenceburg on the state line? Bms4880 (talk) 23:00, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think what they mean is that the County (Lawrence) that Lawrenceburg is in is on the State line if you look at each County on the Tennessee State line and take the largest City in it you will see yes indeed Lawrenceburg is by Far the Largest City between Memphis and Chattanooga. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.53.95.178 (talk) 06:27, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
