[edit]Episode 51 (Fullmetal Alchemist episode) → Laws and Promises (Fullmetal Alchemist episode) … Rationale: The episode when it first aired did not have a title (so as to perhaps increase ratings). Later releases etc had an official title. The english title was Laws and Promises and aired on AdultSwim with that title. --Cat out 19:05, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
- In the interests of accuracy, the episode never had a title. Certain fan groups started calling it "Munich 1921" based on a capton near the end of the episode but that was never any sort of official title. The title "Laws and Promises" was not broadcast on Adult Swim. It was listed under that title in the Adult Swim schedule based on material from Funimation. In the DVDs, the only place this title appears is in DVD menus and box art. It does not appear in the episode. I'm not reopening the question, but the truth of this matter should be listed somewhere.

Title
[edit]As there is an English title, and all of the other episode articles use the English title as a title, this episode should do the same. There should be an explanation about the timeframe of the erceipt of that title (as well as the Japanese title), but this shouldn't extend to the title of the article itself. - There is no japanese title. The so-called English title is the invention of the company doing the dub. Every other episode has an english title derived from the Japanese one. 64.12.117.12 06:04, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Acutally, the Japanese website (http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/Animation/hagaren/) calls the episode "Myunhen 1921," or "Munich 1921." That seems official enough for me.
- Funimation and others appearently didn't/dont agree which is why we are stuck with "Laws and Promises".
About the bit of trivia stating there was no inflation in 1921....
[edit]Although the inflation in germany was not at its peak, Im pretty sure there was inflation after the great war. Anyone want to clarify this?
- The confusion is between postwar inflation in Germany which was present in 1921 and hyperinflation which happened later. The hyperinflation is the historic event where people are sometimes shown with wheelbarrows full of worthless paper money. The scene in FMA clearly is showing inflation consistant with the postwar period. What is inaccurate in the presentation of 1921 is that it does not capture the political violence of that year. 64.12.117.12 05:47, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
