"first"[edit]

Just removed this "However, this claim is more common myth than truth as Kendal Milne and Faulker opened a department store in Manchester, England in 1835, predating the Le Bon Marché by three years." It is not sourced and does not sound credible. Codik (talk) 14:51, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Olympic movement[edit]

After adopting the interlocking rings emblem in 1914, Pierre de Coubertin commission the official Olympic flag to be made in this store for the 1916 Summer Olympics.^[1] It debuted in the 1920 Summer Olympics.^[2]

Who were the architects that designed the original Le Bon Marché building?[edit]

Hello all,
According to this article in Le Figaro, the architects were "Gustave Eiffel et Louis-Charles Boileau".
The article and its references seem to be somewhat contradictory.
