Comment[edit]

The description of the location is misleading. The school has a Syracuse address only because the two west parking lots lie within the City of Syracuse boundary. The whole campus aside from those two small parking lots is located in the town of Dewitt, New York. Also, using the US census figure for the "metropolitan area" is also completely misleading, because that figure results from the application of often irrational standards. Syracuse's population is not even 150,000 (and falling), and there arent even half-a-million people Onondaga County (a very large county). There is no way on earth anyone who hadn't been to Syracuse would read the article and not assume from the 700 plus figure, that they were reading about a major city.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.232.156.123 (talk) 16:23, 4 March 2007

I agree - Espically the part about the facilities on campus - describing the gym "where they can show off their muscles." type stuff.

I Disagree with what this disgrace of an organization says above...the writing is very interesting and it really draws your attention to the page. It looks like you can get a great Jesuit Education from this Institution. Another thing, learn to spell, you can't take what you said seriously with spelling mistakes. Espically? I think you mean ESPECIALLY. Maybe you could have used the Le Moyne Education......

The college has a collection of Polish art. The government of Poland demands, that at least a part of the collection were returned to Poland. Xx236 09:53, 17 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest[edit]

Well, since I have already openly admitted that I work at Le Moyne, and that I am trying to make sure that the entry is more accurate, I find your accusatory tone surprisingly unwarranted and unfair. Some months ago, aware that students may look at wikipedia as a source of information, I noticed that the entry for Le Moyne had not been updated in a while and that some of the basic descriptive facts such as enrollment data and the new president's arrival, etc. simply needed to be updated. I'm sure that if you take the time to review the entry, you will not find anything that cannot be verified or that is in any way overly self-promotional, it was more a matter of needing to more accurately reflect the college. Believe me, I'm all for skepticism, but one can go too far. If you want to see a case of self-promotion, you might want to look at some of the other college sites instead! There are no accusations, just a statement of fact. Read the COI policy, yes you may edit the article, but it is right and proper that other editors are aware of the potential conflict of interest. As I pointed out at WP:EAR tagging helps categorize articles so that editors can see where work needs doing. The referencing needs to be improved, the citation style is unclear. More reliable third party sources need to be introduced, much of the article is entirely unreferenced at present. Yes, there are probably two million other articles with faults in Wikipedia. That is why we need to alert editors to articles with problems - if you see such, then please tag them or work to improve them. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 23:00, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
