The alt.theatre article is not available online, but can be partially viewed here: https://issuu.com/alt.theatre/docs/2_4_sample

The Spanish language source comes from a dissertation I obtained via ProQuest database.

I have both The Chicago Tribune and Puppetry Journal articles as PDFs obtained via academic databases, but they aren't accessible on the public web. Nonetheless, the citations are correct and easily verifiable by anyone with academic library privileges.

I do realize that the group may not meet the notability requirements, but since the Theatre is named directly on the Black Ox Orkestar page, and because I was able to find two seperate reviews of their work published in separate veritable sources, I propose that the page be improved and not deleted.

I don't see what to imporove. If it doesn't meet notability, there is nothing that can be done. @Thenewobjective Starship SN20 (talk) 13:16, 9 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"A topic is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list when it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Therefore additional coverage in reliable sources would demonstrate that the group meets the requirements for notability. It seems to me that coverage of international performances in The Chicago Tribune, as well as two academic journals (The Puppetry Journal, Alt.theatre) meets the threshold for significant coverage, and unearthing of additional coverage in independent sources would strengthen that claim. I know there must be press from the tour of Israel/Palestine, given the length of the tour there, and I am confident I'll be able to locate some coverage from that time. Of course, given the group existed at the same time as Black Ox Orkestar, if Absolu is deemed to not be "notable," perhaps it can be made a sub-section of the Black Ox page. I just pulled this from the article because it doesn't support the date it was footnoting (2001-2005). If anything, it seems to contradict it? Link here, if anyone wants to dispute/discuss this: [1] -- asilvering (talk) 05:20, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
