Needs some clarification[edit]

This article needs some clarififcation and fact checking against the primary source used (Žekulin, Nicholas G. (1989), The story of an operetta: Le dernier sorcier by Pauline Viardot and Ivan Turgenev). Does anyone have access to the complete book? Some of these dates and locations are confusing. For one thing, from what I've read the Théâtre du Thiergarten belonged to Viardot and was built in the garden of her villa. It was inaugrated with an 1869 performance of Dernier Sorcier. Is this the "German premiere" mentioned in the artcle? Or did that take place somewhere else? Also I changed the birthday performance for Crown Price, Friedrich Wilhelm to 36th birthday not 46th as stated. He was born in 1831. Finally which Garcia is being referred to as being present? Presumably her brother, Manuel Patricio Rodríguez García? Voceditenore (talk) 11:14, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'll clarify these things when I get a hold of the book. The German premiere was a different performance, venue, and year. -- kosboot (talk) 13:36, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure how you sourced the article with a book that you don't have. But never mind. ;-) Another question... How could the Journal des Débats, September 13, 1867 review a performance that didn't take place until September 20, 1867. This doesn't make sense. One of these dates has to be wrong. Update. I've expanded, clarified, and referenced this with a couple of other sources and discovered that the Journal des debats review was for Trop de femmes which was first performed about 10 days before Sorcier. Voceditenore (talk) 16:56, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have access to the book in a library. The dating of the article in Journal des debats shouldn't be confusing - plenty of informative articles on a performance are published prior to those performances. I'm gonna take a look at that book again once I get it at the library. -- kosboot (talk) 18:17, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I tracked down the snippet at Google Books. It was referring to Trop de femmes which premiered 10 days earlier. Voceditenore (talk) 18:42, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the snippet [1]
