Would it be useful to get a running average graph going on this polling for May, Corbyn and Cable? I feel there is enough data to compile one sillier to the Uk general election graphs. Opinions? Preferred prime minister and the concept of a "lead"[edit]

Seeing as a good few dozen recent polls have had "neither of these" leading both May and Corbyn, and recently a majority of respondents have been choosing the option actively rejecting either of the two party leaders, I think it's a bit misleading to suggest either leader is "leading" as far as the poll is concerned. If there's no objections, I'll change the lead column to be inclusive of the "neither of these" options in the next few days. Sceptre (talk) 02:46, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Graphs[edit]

Nice work, but the basis of the Boris and JC graphs needs to be the same, for example, same amount of smoothing and both or neither should include "don't know" plots. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 15:21, 6 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Also the smoothing calculation or otherwise of the Johnson chart needs stating and both graphs need updating. The Corbyn graph would communicate the latest results more quickly if the scale was on the right. For the talk page, just to say as per WP:NPOV, let's be even handed between the candidates. It doesn't matter if one uses first names, surnames or initials, but it should be the same for the two leaders! Jontel (talk) 20:03, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Moving average[edit]

Some queries.

1. The moving average for the parties is 28 days, compared with one of 9 points for Corbyn and none for Johnson. Should we standardise? Perhaps on 28 days?

2. There is a neither/ don't know line for Johnson but not Corbyn; should we have it for both?

3. As the graphs are not maintained and hard to access and change, should we add the moving averages to the tables, which anyone can update?

Merge the 2017 and 2019 leadership approval articles[edit]

I propose that all the information from the Leadership approval opinion polling for the 2017 United Kingdom general election be merged into this article. I realise they were separated by a general election, however they were short periods. Both combine almost equate to one full term. All that has to be done is revive the information from that article.
