GA Review[edit]

Reviewer: Carbrera (talk · contribs) 23:48, 01 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am Carbrera, and I'll be reviewing this article for possible good article submission.

Full review coming very soon. Carbrera (talk) 23:48, 01 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Carbrera: Thank you very much! This will be an interesting review as I literally made this page so hopefully I did it all correctly lol. Aoba47 (talk) 00:29, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox[edit]

  • Remove the quotation marks around "Day Dreaming" in the singles box; they are pre-included without having to manually add them

 Done

Lead[edit]

Paragraph 1[edit]

  • Include the year after Ask a Woman Who Knows.

 Done

Paragraph 2[edit]

  • "Upon its release" → "After its release'

 Done

Paragraph 3[edit]

  • I would move this paragraph to the one above, creating a slightly larger one :)

 Done

Background and recording[edit]

Paragraph 1[edit]

  • Looks really good!
  • Thank you!

Paragraph 2[edit]

  • Hmmm. I particularly don't like album covers used in sections; is there a different image that could be used in place of this previous album cover? If not, it'll just have to do.
  • I will look for a different image. I agree with your point.  Working Aoba47 (talk) 06:02, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Done (The image is pretty blurry, but it is hard to find an image that is both high quality/appropriate and that will not be taken down immediately.)
  • The period should come before the quotation marks in the last sentence, right?
  • I was told that the punctuation comes after the quotation marks unless citing a full sentence. I thought it was odd too as it is not like that for normal writing, but I was directed to this during the c/e. Aoba47 (talk) 06:02, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Paragraph 3[edit]

  • Link 'Dallas Austin'

 Done

  • Otherwise, good work
  • Thank you!

Paragraph 4[edit]

  • "yet up-to-date". Taylor described..." → "yet up-to-date"; Taylor described..."

 Done

  • Nothing else to mention
  • Thank you!

Composition[edit]

  • Highly impressed with this section; zero comments whatsoever!
  • Thank you! It took a lot of work for this section!

Promotion[edit]

  • Another comment; is there a different image of maybe Cole singing live or something? The music video pic is alright, but an image of Cole performing one of the album's songs would be even better!
  • I will look around for a different image. Thank for you for the suggestion!  Working Aoba47 (talk) 06:02, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Since Cole did not promote the album a lot, there are unfortunately only a handful of times that I could find a video of her performing the songs live and I am not certain if taking screenshots of any of those would help the article as they are very pixelated/blurry. Reception[edit]

Critical response[edit]

  • Change the first sentence to "Leavin' received positive reviews from music critics."

 Done

Track listing[edit]

  • Are the producers available for the tracks? You could try discogs.com perhaps?
  • Thank you for bringing my attention to this. Will add this.  Working
  •  Done
  • @Aoba47: Could you add who produced the only non-Austin produced track in the short statement above the track listing?
Will look for it now.  Working
@Carbrera:  Done
  • Shouldn't the No. for the bonus track be #13.?

 Done

Credits[edit]

  • This may be a little putzy, but shouldn't the additional positions/instruments after the first one be all lowercased? Like for Dallas Austin for example: "Composer, drums, executive producer, horn arrangements, percussion, performer, producer, rhythm arrangements, vocal arrangement" Do you see what I mean?

Done Sorry for the mistake here ><

Charts[edit]

  • Remove 'Weekly charts' since it didn't end up on a 'year-end chart'

 Done

Release history[edit]

  • The dates need to be in chronological order; 2010 comes before 2006 in this example

Done Wow, that was a silly mistake lol

End of GA Review:[edit]

A very strong article again! Just some few changes and I'm sure it will pass. Thanks again! Carbrera (talk) 03:54, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Carbrera: Thank you so much for the link. I will have the two new images uploaded in a couple hours as I about to go to bed now. I have addressed your other points so I should be finished soon. This is really awesome to get positive and constructive feedback on an article that I have created and expanded on my own. Aoba47 (talk) 06:39, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Aoba47: Glad I could help! Have you completed your changes to the article? Carbrera (talk) 14:10, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Carbrera: Thank you! I have completed my changes to the article and left my comments above. Let me know if there is anything else I can do. Aoba47 (talk) 14:15, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
