Embarq Corporation - This paragraph sounds more like an advertisement than something encyclopedic. Anyone agree?

Anyone know the significance of Andrew McBurney mentioned in the "famous people" section? --bfaist

He was the Lieutenant Governor of Ohio from 1866-1868.Carinemily 02:26, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Looking further I see conflicting middle intitals for him - some sites say "R" and others "G". Anyone have a reliable reference?Carinemily 02:37, 11 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Having grown up in this area, I've heard the city name pronounced as "LEB-nuhn" almost exclusively. I know it's not the "correct" pronounciation, but it is the one used locally.Carinemily

That is correct. You can tell when someone doesn't leave in or near Lebanon, Ohio, because they pronounce it like "Le-buh-none". I prefer our "incorrect" way of pronouncing it. Resiak

Neal Armstrong did not live in Lebanon, but lived outside of the City of Lebanon in Turtlecreek Township. Technicality or subject to correction? Mbeatty 22:05, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit] Historic population figures Can anyone update this section? Since the most current year was 1990. What was the number for 2000?Resiak —Preceding comment was added at 16:34, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

War of 1812 Fort?

[edit]

Can any one substantiate if Lebanon had a fortification during the War of 1812? [1] Musicwriter (talk) 00:11, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Bomb threat at city hall

[edit]

@Magnolia677: just curious, but could you explain why a bomb threat at City Hall would be WP:NOTNEWS for the cities history? Elijahandskip (talk) 02:54, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Elijahandskip: There were 1,627 bomb threats in the United States in 2018. Seems kind of run-of-the-mill. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:07, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, fair point. Elijahandskip (talk) 15:19, 6 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Update Historical Population table

[edit]

The 2020 census and 2021 estimate should both be added to the article. 155.188.183.59 (talk) 17:54, 1 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

3.5 mile earthen wall

[edit]

In a video, "Indiana's Mysterious Mounds," it states that there is an earthen wall up to 25-feet tall, surrounding a large hilltop. 71.32.82.105 (talk) 11:28, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Added Fort Ancient (Lebanon, Ohio) to see also. Doug Weller talk 13:54, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
