It seems to me that this entry might benefit from references. Apart from that, I'm unsure about the range of objections noted at the commencement of the article. Richard. RM9876 (talk) 00:34, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A lot of warnings[edit]

Wow, this article has a lot of warnings on it! I'm going to try to deal with them one at a time and see if I can help. I've begun by deleting the external links that the warner asked to be removed. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:21, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • I removed the patents section, which seemed resume like and had no verifiable secondary source. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:23, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I removed the academic positions and honors sections, which were definitely resume like, and again had no verifiable secondary source. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:25, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I removed discussion of his website, BMER.net. I can't find any reference to this beyond Wikipedia and the website itself. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:29, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I removed a lot of discussion of his activities that had no verifiable secondary sources (actually no sources at all) and a fairly promotional tone. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:34, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I deleted a reference to some conference awards that he won that I can't find referred to online. If they aren't listed online (much less covered in newspapers), probably not a good idea to include them here. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:36, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I couldn't verify his connection with Contraco anywhere--that archived link just went to an old company homepage, not verification. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:43, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Some of this might be verifiable in Korean if anybody speaks that. But since this has had a dozen warnings at the top for 7 years, I think the better approach would be to delete nonverifiable stuff for now and then add it back in if somebody can find it in Korean, instead of leaving the statements and hoping that they're true. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:47, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • I removed the expert warning--is a management expert really needed on this article? I'm not sure what that one means. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:49, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I removed the COI warning, because now that I've rewritten so much of this, I think it's basically neutral. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:50, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I linked this page from the Seoul National University graduates page, and removed the orphan warning. FloridaSammi (talk) 14:57, 22 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think I can do anything about the notability warning. I'm not sure this guy is notable in Wikipedia rules, actually. Same thing for the "biography of a living person needs more sources" warning, for the same reason. But there's probably more in Korean if anybody speaks that?
