Development section[edit]

Hi Striker2020 I think the development section here needs more work. Firstly it includes release information rather than development information. The first quote is really just a generic press statement and doesn't provide any useful information other than that the theme is continuing. I think you need to find some other info about the development if possible. This section should focus on how the concept was formed, how the theme uses augmented reality, that sort of thing. If I get time I will see if I can find any sources. Fieryninja (talk) 07:55, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Striker2020 I have added quite a lot of development content. The page will also need a clean up. There needs to be new content to explain the connection between the product line and the web episodes storyline. The paragraph in the overview doesn't connect with anything at the moment and has no citations, so that needs work. Fieryninja (talk) 22:53, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Fieryninja do you think this theme is discontinued or not? Striker2020 (talk) 05:03, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Striker2020 this is a really good point. I haven't found any direct confirmation in sources yet, but I know there were rumours. I checked the official site and this theme is not listed under the themes. I think it probably is retired but we need some form of confirmation to change the article. Discontinuation[edit]

Striker2020 The discontinuation of the theme appears to be true. I found this reference (https://9to5toys.com/2020/11/11/lego-sets-retiring-2020/) which states "The Hidden Side theme has received quite a few additional kits since originally launching in 2019, but now it seems that the entire wave is on the way out once the end of the year rolls around." An unreliable source here (https://www.reddit.com/r/HiddenSide/comments/lrcus8/hidden_side_is_retired_response_from_lego_service/) quotes an apparently official email that states "All good things come to an end and we have decided to retire the LEGO Hidden Side theme at the end of 2020 to allow our designers to focus on developing exciting new products, including many that will merge physical and digital play." Various fan sites have highlighted the retirement of all the sets here (https://www.brickfanatics.com/last-chance-to-buy-lego-hidden-side-sets/) and here (http://thebrickblogger.com/2020/07/list-of-lego-sets-retiring-soon/) which states "LEGO HIDDEN SIDE RETIRING SOON: The LEGO Hidden Side theme is apparently going to get retired in its entirety." The Lego Group is unlikely to publicise the end of a theme, but given that the theme has been removed from the official site and no sets are now listed, I think it's clear that this has discontinued production. Is this enough evidence to update the article? Fieryninja (talk) 06:36, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Fieryninja sure ok you got all the evidence to update the article. I want to know Lego Overwatch is discontinued or not? Striker2020 (talk) 13:46, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Striker2020 I checked the official site and it is not listed in the current themes, so my best guess is that this too has been discontinued. I suggest we find some references similar to the above and add a sourced statement on the Overwatch page if we can find any sources. Fieryninja (talk) 14:02, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Fieryninja I found this source from Brick Fanatics [1] the rumour said the new sets for Overwatch might release this year but not quite sure. Striker2020 (talk) 14:11, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Striker2020 Given that this article dates from January and that Overwatch 2 is yet to be released there is a good possibility that the theme will be revived to coincide with this so at the moment I don't think we can say this is discontinued. If you find any more sources related to this let's discuss it on Lego Overwatch. Fieryninja (talk) 14:55, 15 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Launch and sets sections[edit]

Hi Striker2020 I've been looking at the launch section and it really needs a rewrite. It needs to focus on the launch of the product line rather than the release of the two sets listed there. The release of the sets duplicates the content in the construction sets section so it is a bit confusing. In addition, we should remove some of the references for the sets because there are too many and they don't all support the content. Fieryninja (talk) 06:39, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Fieryninja you can remove it. Striker2020 (talk) 07:10, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
